WorkforBooks, LLC

WorkforBooks, LLC and the WorkforBooks website are an online marketplace and workplace providing services to facilitate employers finding, locating, and/or interviewing professionals and student workers for employment opportunities; facilitate professionals and students placing bids for work to be placed, interviews to be given, and online payments to be made; and facilitate employment opportunities and associated work by providing storage of correspondence and documents, payment modules, and dispute resolution services.

WorkforBooks, LLC is not a charitable organization or non-profit. Any efforts made by WorkforBooks, LLC that may be interpreted as community efforts or charitable efforts do not change the purpose of the business as a for profit company.

Fees

The only fee currently charged by WorkforBooks, LLC is a transaction fee of 10% on each transaction made through the WorkforBooks website.

By using the WorkforBooks website to communicate with potential employers, professionals, students, or volunteers, you agree to make all payment arrangements for the first 12 months from first communication with any employer, professional, student, or volunteer through the WorkforBooks website’s payment system.

At any time, additional payment fees or membership fees may be charged. Notification will be provided 30 days prior to such addition of fees. Members will not be required to pay such fees unless they continue use of the site after the effective date of the fees. No fees will be charged to your account unless they are first authorized by you.

Eligibility

WorkforBooks, LLC services are open to all adults over 18 years old or those legally deemed capable of signing legally binding contracts. WorkforBooks has the right to refuse service to anyone.

Accounts

The information entered to register for use of the Works for Books services is your responsibility. You agree to provide true and accurate information in all areas of the site and to update such information to maintain its truth and accuracy. Your password is solely your responsibility to protect. You agree to use only your authorized account and no other account login, password, or other information.

Should you suspect fraudulent activity on your account, contact customer service and change your password immediately.

Changes to Services or Terms

In an effort to grow and expand our services, we may change the scope of services or the Terms of Use at any time. Though WorkforBooks will make every effort possible to notify users prior to any changes, WorkforBooks is not required to provide advance notice of these changes.

Proprietary Rights

You acknowledge and agree that WorkforBooks and/or it’s affiliates or subsidiaries own all legal rights to the WorkforBooks name, logo, services, and intellectual property contained on the WorkforBooks website. You agree not to use these items in any way not permitted in writing by WorkforBooks.

Limitation of Liability

You expressly understand and agree that WorkforBooks, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and its licensors shall not be liable to you for:

Any direct, indirect, incidental, special consequential or exemplary damages which may be incurred by you, however caused and under any theory of liability.. This shall include, but not be limited to, any loss of profit (whether incurred directly or indirectly), any loss of goodwill or business reputation, any loss of data suffered, cost of procurement of substitute goods or services, or other intangible loss;

Any loss or damage which may be incurred by you, including but not limited to loss or damage as a result of:

Any reliance placed by you on the completeness, accuracy or existence of any advertising, or as a result of any relationship or transaction between you and any advertiser or sponsor whose advertising appears on the services;

Any changes which WorkforBooks may make to the services, or for any permanent or temporary cessation in the provision of the services (or any features within the services);

The deletion of, corruption of, or failure to store, any content and other communications data maintained or transmitted by or through your use of the services;

Your failure to provide WorkforBooks with accurate account information;

Your failure to keep your password or account details secure and confidential;

The limitations on WorkforBooks’ liability to you in the above paragraph shall apply whether or not WorkforBooks has been advised of or should have been aware of the possibility of any such losses arising.

General Legal Terms

Sometimes when you use the Services, you may (as a result of, or through your use of the Services) use a service or download a piece of software, or purchase goods, which are provided by another person or company. Your use of these other services, software or goods may be subject to separate terms between you and the company or person concerned. If so, the Terms do not affect your legal relationship with these other companies or individuals.

The Terms constitute the whole legal agreement between you and WorkforBooks and govern your use of the Services, and completely replace any prior agreements between you and WorkforBooks in relation to the Services.

You agree that WorkforBooks may provide you with notices, including those regarding changes to the Terms, by email, regular mail, or postings on the Services.

You agree that if WorkforBooks does not exercise or enforce any legal right or remedy which is contained in the Terms (or which WorkforBooks has the benefit of under any applicable law), this will not be taken to be a formal waiver of WorkforBooks’ rights and that those rights or remedies will still be available to WorkforBooks.

If any court of law, having the jurisdiction to decide on this matter, rules that any provision of these Terms is invalid, then that provision will be removed from the Terms without affecting the rest of the Terms. The remaining provisions of the Terms will continue to be valid and enforceable.
